Impressive fortress overlooking the Rhone valley, the castle of Crussol and its villette extend over 3 hectares inside the ramparts. Built in the 11th century, it prospered for several centuries, reaching its peak in the 13th century before being successively destroyed by religious wars and the erosion of time.

This year, the Château de Crussol will also host a UNESCO permanence: the opportunity to discover the World Heritage candidature led by the association "De Rhône en Vignes - Cultures en partage, de Vienne à Valence", and to give your opinion on what makes heritage in our territory.

Medieval encampment in Crussol

"The Knights of Crussol" offers you a playful discovery of life in the glorious era of the Castle, punctuated by demonstrations! Medieval cuisine, herbalist’s shop, leather and wool work, basket-weaving, minting... relive the history and ancestral know-how of the Middle Ages !

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the CAP association invites you to experience an afternoon dedicated to discovery and conviviality. Discover the heritage of Saint-Perollais through a tour through several emblematic places of the town: exhibitions of photographs, paintings, old postcards and wine-growing heritage will punctuate this walk.

A great opportunity to rediscover Saint-Péray differently, with family or friends !

Guided tour of the Caves of Soyons

  • Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September from 2pm to 5pm (departures at 2pm, 2:30 pm, 3:15 pm, 3:45 pm, 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm)

Embark on a fabulous journey to the heart of prehistory and the underworld by discovering two caves: the cave of Nero, which traces the life of Neanderthal man and large predators (bears, lions, cave hyenas), and the Fox Hole, carved by the infiltration waters and adorned with a splendid decoration of stalactites and stalagmites.

Visit to the Archaeological Museum of Soyons

Located in the heart of the village, the museum presents the archaeological collections, mostly from excavations carried out in and around Soyons. It traces the life of humans from prehistory to the Middle Ages, testifying to the extraordinary richness of the local subsoil.

A nice way to complete the visit of the caves next door !

Boffres, a jewel case with character

Immerse yourself in the history of the village of Boffres through its picturesque alleys, with the exceptional discovery of the Château des Faugs! Let yourself be guided by enthusiasts between anecdotes, discoveries and remarkable views. The visit includes the village, the "Place du Château", the Church and the Château des Faugs, as well as a gourmet lunch : at the restaurant "Les Fontaines" on Saturday, at the "Auberge de Boffres" on Sunday.

Exhibition on the history of the Châteaurouge and Mars in Saint-Georges-les-Bains

The association Autrefois Saint Georges invites you to travel back in time with an exhibition dedicated to the history of two emblematic districts of the town. Through archival photographs and period documents, discover the evolution of these neighborhoods over the decades and discuss with members of the association about this beautiful collective memory project.

Opening of the Saint-Martin de Galéjas chapel

This Romanesque building of the 11th and 12th centuries seduces by the beauty and originality of its architecture as well as its interior decoration. The chapel will exceptionally open its doors during this heritage weekend.
