A 240-square-meter forest cabin featuring 6 bedrooms, 1 dormitory, and 5 bathrooms, as well as 2 large living areas, one of which is equipped with a hammock. It also has a 45-square-meter outdoor terrace.
The forest ranger's house is situated on the edge of a 40-hectare forest with numerous walking trails. Completely renovated in 2024, this spacious 240 m² house comprises 6 fully adaptable bedrooms (accommodating 1 to 4 people), 5 bathrooms, 2 large living rooms (one of which features a hammock), and a 45 m² wooden terrace.
The exterior cladding of the house is made of charred Douglas fir, sawn on-site and charred using the traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban or Yakisugi method. This method enhances the wood’s aesthetic appeal and brings out its rich texture and deep hues. The fibres, which range from dark brown to jet black, offer the subtle shades characteristic of Douglas fir. Each plank thus becomes a unique work of art.
Treated in this way, the wood requires very little maintenance and no chemical products.
This forest retreat is ideal for get-togethers, celebrating a special occasion, with friends, family, and more.
