Voie Bleue Discovery Day : a nature and sport experience in Cornas

On the programme : walks, sports activities and sightseeing along the Rhône in a festive, family-friendly atmosphere.

 

On Sunday 31 May 2026, the town of Cornas will host another edition of the Voie Bleue Discovery Day, a free event open to all, running from 10am to 6pm.

This friendly event will take place between the Mure car park and the Moulin district, along the banks of the Rhône. Designed as an opportunity for sharing and discovery, this event celebrates sustainable transport, nature and biodiversity, whilst offering activities suitable for all ages.

An event at the heart of an exceptional itinerary


La Voie Bleue is a well-known cycle route linking Châteaubourg and Guilherand-Granges. It is an ideal, peaceful setting for a family stroll, joggers, cyclists and anglers flock to this path lined with plane trees to enjoy its open spaces and facilities (benches, picnic tables, play equipment, fitness stations, fishing jetties, etc.). 

La Voie Bleue is easily accessible from the park-and-ride car parks located near the route. Suitable for all abilities, it offers a chance to fully immerse yourself in a setting that combines wildlife, flora and local heritage

A festive day open to everyone

 

The event on 31 May is part of this initiative, offering a completely free day with open access, open to families, sports enthusiasts and anyone else who’s simply curious.


Throughout the day, visitors will be able to enjoy a wide range of activities :

  • Cycle rides and walks along the Voie Bleue
  • Sports activities
  • Outdoor activities
  • Stalls and workshops


The aim : to offer a different way of exploring the banks of the Rhône and to encourage environmentally friendly practices.
 

 

Raising awareness of biodiversity and the environment 

 

Beyond the sporting aspect, this event also focuses on raising environmental awareness. Special workshops will give the public a better understanding of local ecosystems and the importance of preserving biodiversity.
